2012

We have done a lot of reflecting on our many adventures and major blessings of last year and its time to journal it!

January 2012

*End of January David was released from his calling as 2nd counselor in a BYU Singles Ward Bishopric where we had served for almost 2 years. It was such and incredible time and experience, one that we miss often!

February

*David and I went on our first trip ever (just us) to Hawaii and it was AMAZING!!! We visited our dear friends Kohl and Lindsay and had the time of our lives. Honestly, this trip goes down in the books of most awesome trips and it definitely raised the bar for future vacations! Thank you to the Perkins for such a great time! 

*And the BIGGEST news to EVER hit the Pyne home... that absolutely made our ENTIRE YEAR came in Feburary...yup, you guessed it...We found out that we were going to be PARENTS!!!!

March

*We found out that David nailed the most nerve-racking, all important interview of his life and got hired on to do an internship over the summer for Honeywell in Phoenix AZ. An incredible Fortune 100 Company! So proud of that man!! 

April

*My birthday-cause you know that's a pretty important day, right?!

*We moved to Arizona for the summer and David started his new job April 30th!! 

May

*We found out our sweet growing baby "it" was a HE!!! On Mother's Day weekend to be exact! Top ten most exciting and extremely special time in my life thus far! 

June

*David's 1st Fathers Day!

*Trip to UT to visit my awesome Family!! 

*20 weeks pregnant and felt the baby move for the first time!!!

July 

*End of July we moved back to UT

*My amazing brother left on his two year Mission for our Church to Los Angeles, CA!  

August

*We took a babymoon trip to California to visit family. My wonderful mother in-law threw David and I a baby shower! Love you all!

*David's last first day at BYU! Senior year baby!

*We found out that David killed it at Honeywell and that they cant live or function with out my hard working hunny! ;) They hired him on for a full time, career making, real person job to start up after graduation!! Such a HUGE blessing, especially in this economy. And a HUGE relief to be able to go our whole senior year with direction and security in our future. 

September 

*My bestfriend Emma threw us the best baby shower!!! Thank you again everyone and EMMA!

*David's Birthday!!! He turned 25 people!! Yilkes, I still feel like we are 16!! 

*My amazing Mom threw my Sister and I a combined baby shower for our boys and it was a blast! Thank you all for the love and support and spoiling us rotten! 

*We bought our FIRST CAR!!!! Yup, we got ride of my high school, money pit of a vehicle and moved up in the world with a brand new 2012 Honda Accord! We mention almost every time we drive in it how much we love it, still...almost 6 months later! 

October

*I quit my job at Schubach Jewelers

andddd drum roll please...

*OUR PRECIOUS BABY BENSON WAS BORN!! 

That's it- nothing else matters! 

Kidding! but seriously...

November

*David's parents came to UT for Thanksgiving and met Benson for the first time!

*Benson's cousin Parker was born! They are best buds and only three weeks apart! :)

*Benson turned a month old on the 24th! 

We kept him a live for one whole month, go us! 

December
*Benson was given the most beautiful Baby Blessing by his Daddy. I could not contain the tears! He was an absolute angle the entire time too and didn't make a peep! My dad said that he was just looking around at everyone's faces in the prayer circle and that it was the sweetest thing he'd ever seen!

* Enjoying every moment with our sweet baby boy! 

*Flooding your news feeds with Benson pictures cause I am obsessed! 

*Benson turned 2 months old on Christmas Eve!

*Our first Christmas as a family of three and creating fun new traditions!!

* Cherishing all the time off David had from school and work for the Holidays!
*David and I celebrated 4 years of marriage on the 27th!!!!!

WE WELCOMED IN THE NEW YEAR!

We honestly couldn't have asked for a more incredible, meaningful year. We grew so much, experienced so much and LEARNED so much! We feel so grateful for the love that we have in our home and the light that Benson brings to our lives. How did we ever really live without him!? 

2012 was extremely good to us!!

We are very excited for the adventures and the fun that awaits us and all that this new year has in store!
